People with gum disease are almost twice as likely to suffer from coronary artery disease compared to those who don't have periodontitis.  Researchers aren't exactly sure of why this might be, but one theory is that harmful bacteria from your mouth enters your blood stream and attaches to fatty plaques in your heart's blood vessels, leading to inflammation and upping your risk of clots that can trigger heart attacks.

On your first visit to our office, we do a comprehensive exam and set of x-rays to help us formulate a personalized treatment plan. Your initial comprehensive exam begins with radiographs of your entire mouth which allows us to examine your teeth, tissues and neck as well as providing a cancer screening.

 

Our office provides you with a choice of convenient day and evening appointments to fit your busy schedule, as well as weekend appointments two Saturdays a month.

 

Fakler Dentistry provides a monthly Newsletter to their subscribers.
